Contraste, balancing regional cuisines

Close to the Madeleine Church, this gastronomic restaurant invites you to a journey between land and sea, from Northern Catalonia to Brittany.

A fine dining establishment of intimate proportions opened in Autumn of 2019 in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. On the walls of the stylish dining room as well as in the restaurant's kitchen, everything is based on the alchemy between the two masters of the house: Kevin de Porre and Erwan Ledru are two childhood friends with prestigious backgrounds (past experiences at 2-star Kei, Plaza Athénée and Shangri-La Paris for Kevin de Porre; Arnaud Nicolas, Le Meurice, Lasserre and Le Rech for Erwan Ledru). Of different origins, the two chefs mix various influences together, between the Mediterranean, the Atlantic Ocean, Northern Catalonia and Brittany. It is the contrast between these two approaches that creates a genuine gastronomic experience. For instance, the bellota ham is grilled and served with oysters and seaweed, and the mackerel comes with Colonnata lard and seaweed butter. With figs from the Provence region, plums from Aveyron and duckling from Challans, Contraste first and foremost brings forward the diversity of French regional food.
